Quarter 1 Update – November 2015.
Do you know what’s been happening at Oracle in the last 3 months…?
·        A 49% of those learners with milestone targets in the last 3 months met those targets! This is not good enough and we have set systems in place to improve this for our January report. Deliverer’s will be working hard with you to ensure that this percentage improves for our quarter 2 report; so that more of you are supported but also stretched and challenged to reach your potential. Our target is 80% of milestones met by Quarter 2!
·        We have had 77 new learners started on programme with us since 1st August! 35 Apprentices; 28 Traineeships, 5 Study Programme learners, 4 school learners and 15 adult learners! Welcome to all new learners!
·        60% of our learning sessions were graded good or better in our September class observation cycle. These grades were based on the new Ofsted Inspection Framework.
·        42 learners have successfully completed their Learning Plans in the last three months! Well done you!!
·        93% of those learners leaving and achieving their framework have had a positive destination; either into a job, going self employed or progressing onto an Advanced Apprenticeship or Further Education.
·        We are still recruiting for our Traineeship programme. This programme is for individuals who are not ‘job ready’ and need work experience and support before progressing onto an Apprenticeship. If you know anyone who would be interested in this programme, get them to contact our centre and we can book them in for an interview and check their eligibility.
·        Tell us what you think! Our learner survey is open currently for all existing learners to complete. If you still have not completed the survey ask a member of staff how to get on the link.

Other Interesting facts about Oracle’s development …….
Did you know that ……?

·        92% of Employers in a recent survey, completed by our funding body, stated they would recommend Oracle. Thank you! We will continue to strive for excellence and look forward to working with both existing and new Employers during 2015/16.
·        Our new ‘bite size’ website is now finally completed, after a few hitches, it will be much more accessible to smart phones than our original site. To keep up to date with our daily feeds why not follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get all our real time updates. (www.facebook.com/oracletrainingconsultants Twitter: @oracle1)
·        We are saying goodbye to two staff this next month; Gemma Laister and Sarah Chance are leaving us to become self employed! We wish them every success in the future!
·        We currently have a three day part time trainer/assessor role in Hairdressing available. If you are interested, please send your current CV to; carol.watson@oracle-uk.com

·        Our first trip to Italy is in the final stages of arrangement, thank you to all learners, parents and salon owners who attended our recent information evening. The first 15 learners will be winging their way to Bergamo on the 17th January for 16 days. If you are interested in going on the next trip out in May, please ask your trainer/assessor for an expression of interest form. I know quite a few of you want to go; so get your forms in early!!
